Remembering President
 Helen Bacon

We are deeply saddened to share the passing of Past IACES President Helen Bacon, a trailblazer in our club’s history and a cherished member of our Irish community. Helen made history as the first female president of the Irish American Club East Side, leaving a lasting legacy of leadership, service, and dedication to Irish culture.

Beyond her role in the club, Helen’s life was marked by a passion for faith, education, and helping others. A devoted nurse, she served in the United States Cadet Nurses Corps, worked alongside her husband in business, and made a lasting impact as a representative for the Co-workers of Mother Teresa in America. Her love for Ireland, Cleveland sports, and the Notre Dame Fighting Irish was unmatched.

Helen passed away on February 16, 2025, at the age of 99. As we remember her incredible life, we celebrate the kindness, strength, and trailblazing spirit she shared with us all.

Safe Home Helen.
